Chess Cake


This cake is very beautiful and very tasty. I first tried it a gathering with colleagues from my first job. I love it and I took the recipe from her colleague. Can be prepared in different variants: chess, brown and white base, white only.
This is a favorite cake of my family.

Chess CakeProducts:

For a white crust:
 3 eggs
 1 cup flour
 1 cup sugar
 3 tablespoons cooking oil
 3 tablespoons lukewarm water


For a brown crust:
 3 eggs
 1 / 2 cup flour
 1 / 2 cup cocoa powder
 1 cup sugar
 3 tablespoons cooking oil
 3 tablespoons lukewarm water


For the cream:
 1 liter milk
 1 / 2 cup sugar
 6 tablespoons flour
 3 eggs
 60 g butter


For decoration:
 150 years planed walnut
 100 g chocolate broken into pieces



Preparation of a cake crust
Separate the yolks and whites of eggs. Stir yolks with half the sugar. Gradually add oil and then water. Add sifted flour and stir until a homogeneous mixture (if you do brown cake crust - add cocoa).
Separately beat egg whites with remaining sugar foam. Mixing with other mixture - mix gently (to not fall the whites) until a homogeneous mixture.
Pouring the mixture into a round pan, oiled and coated paper (paper pre-cut in the shape of a circle as big as the tray).


Preparation of the cream
Separate the yolks of eggs and beltatsita. Stir yolks with 200 g of milk. Gradually add flour, stirring until a smooth mixture. Warm the remaining milk with half the sugar until boiling. Pour the mixture a trickle while stirring constantly to not burn and not happen on clods.
Boil the cream 10 minutes, stirring constantly. Remove from fire and add butter. Stir. Leave to cool.
Separately beat egg whites with remaining sugar foam.
Waiting for the cream to cool - 15 - 20 min, add the beaten whites. Stir gently (to not fall the whites) until we get a smooth cream.


To assemble chess cake
For chess cake make 2 white and 1 brown crust minimum (2 white and 2 brown is better). Each crust is cut into four concentric circles.
On the first row shouting: the outer white circle; Inner circle brown; the inner circle white; brown innermost circle.
Place cream and put out the second row.
On the second row shouting:the outer broun circle, white Inner circle; the inner circle of brown; innermost white circle.
So while the line up all lines. Top pour remaining cream being smeared and sides.
Sprinkle with walnuts on top and sides and top with chocolate chips.


To assemble non-chess cake
Do 2 white and 1 brown crust (2 white and 2 brown is better).

Very easy and equally delicious option
We do only white cake layers as you like (if you do only 2 - you must prepare less cream)

Place in refrigerator and served the next day to absorb the cream.
